Luwuk Sulawesi

Well all we can say about Luwuk located in Sulawesi is that this is a quaint laid-back town in the north-central corner of the island. This town is now coming more into limelight due to the gas wells discovered south of the city. Earlier the main stay of the town was nickel mining and fishing but slowly things are heating up. The airport located bang on the sea ( well almost ) is one of the most beautiful we have seen till date. The food is great and the local coastline is awesome. Luwuk Sulawesi is a gateway for the Togean Islands which are great for scuba diving. There are places near the town where you can snorkel and see some good underwater life.

I stayed at Estrella Hotel. This is a great property with balcony overlooking the vast sea line. The food is good and setting is simply brilliant. Planning to book the hotels. Use this code and get discounts in your next hotel booking.

  1. Luwuk Sulawesi – means clean small beaches, shiny crystal sea water and green mountains.
